EARTHQUAKE rocks Delhi-NCR
Major tremors rocks Delhi-NCR for second time at 12.17 pm. The IMD said that the second tremors was measured 6.6 on Richter scale. The epicenter was 77 km northwest of Kathmandu in Nepal. The second earthquake was of lower intensity than first one.
PM Narendra Modi calls an emergency meeting at 3 pm to discuss the situation occurred due to earthquake.
The situation in Nepal appears more troubling as several news organisation reported massive destruction due to earthquake in Nepal.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted about the earthquake. He said, “We are in the process of finding more information and are working to reach out to those affected, both at home & in Nepal.”
Major tremors felt across India as earthquake measuring more than 6 on Richter Scale shook the country. Tremors were felt in Delhi and NCR region for a minute at 11.45 am. The tremors lasted for more than 30 seconds, measured 7.5 on Richter scale.
